yes due to the fact that they we going out of stock fast so we had to buy pronto...best purchase for the whole family....What I hear you say...a motorised 2 seater go cart of course!!! Got it Thursday so we spent the whole day Sunday driving it around. Bubba is super excited and we have actually been able to let him drive it himself with chicken hanging on for dear life but with the hugest smile on her face...He's some video of them...Please note that soon after this I got run over but thats another story altogether(Totally my own silly fault)
had Nanni B and Grumps come for tea tonight so we went out and showed them the delight!! Here's some shots of the 2 daredevils..

this is how i truely feel this morning
Well considering I have done everything wrong this week like...go to bed after midnight most nights..no exercise...not drinking 3 litres a day...etc it is no surprise that I put on this week....life has just been soo hectic and when it gets hectic is when I flounder!!! Anywho clean slate now, tomorrow is a new day!!! Shall strive to do heaps better this week...hope you all have done better than me this week...someone please lift the bar of asperation!!! lol

one of bubba's mates from playgroup has had a pregnant goat and we went out ages ago to see her. Since then the kids have been waiting and waiting for her to have the babies....Well they have finally popped their little heads out into the world so of course we had to go and have a hold. Caramel and black coloured twins...

I found this feather ages ago and love it framed...(PS..Mum note the little toy soldier for Xmas bubba loves it)
Notice I covered the E too. Think the spots go well with the spots on the feather??

have finally framed one of the divine prints from Tiel (again Mum note the rocking horse)
see the D??? repainted the aqua frame and rubbed it back alittle before the paint dried to reveal a bit of the past colour..

yes today started out a doozy due to my little chicken!!! She is currently the epitome of the terrible twos!!! Anywho my beautiful hubby kindly assisted me all day today and let me be a bit creative in daylight...(I usually do my creating iin the night time kid free). To start out i covered a D wood shape for the chicken with some lovely fabric I got from my romp at the Spotty christmas sale the other night, but I will post more about that later. here are the pictures...

much to my hubbies disgust!!! I love christmas...the atmosphere of family time/giving summer fun etc!! So I thought that I would share with you our decorations thus far!!! Now I decided to have a go at doing a minimalistic /stylised tree in our living room...still not sure if i am happy with it...daylight pictures

okay I have been inspired by this lovely lady to post about things that I am grateful about and have committed to doing a grateful post every 4 post!!! Shouldnt be too hard cause I have lots and lots to be grateful about. Anywho todays gratefulness falls on these 3 lovely ladies... I really did well during the blogfest.
the lovely Sarah Jo sent me a package with this lovely skirt for chicken....don't you love the prebrushed hair look!! This is her showing off the big pocket in the front.Genius idea as she is always putting things in it!!! Thanks again Sarah Jo

Next is the wonderfully talented and funny Flossy P. I won her spring brooch giveaway and I must say that it looks divine in person. She has some even more gorgeous brooches in her etsy shop too...I digress.. she even added a few extra goodies!!! I feel so spoilt. Definately put a smile on the dial. BTW check the <<<

Lastly is the one and only Molly!! I recieved a beautifully packaged parcel with ribbing and trims...boy and girl colours which perfect for my pidgeon pair!!!Thanks heaps Molly I shall be in touch for those tips on how to use the ribbing.

No that is not my favorite radio station...sadly it is my weight!!! How the heck did I let it get so bad!!! Well I really do know...self neglect, lack of self respect!!! A mums life no matter where you are is busy at the quietest of times. We all have to juggle. Me, well I need to juggle and EXERCISE!!! Just not good at it... yet!! Anywho enough of the drivel my plan is to post a weekly weigh in on my blog to inspire/guilty me into doing something about the situation!!! Please encourage me along the journey....even if i fail momentarily. I have been so inspired to do everything and craft like crazy by all of blogland but I think that I need to be a inspiration to my family my kids, my hubby and you guys of course..lol. Here in Aus we have girls night in during October for those who want to raise money for cancer research...thus My bud Lou is throwing a girls night in tomorrow night! Have made a few gift to give away or auction or lucky dip??? not sure which yet. Thought you all might like some of the ideas for I think they would make great cheap and easy gifts for xmas. I made some quick brooches using felt material and vintage buttons.

To go with the brooches I found some $2 hand towels and $1 2 year pocket planners.

So easy to do. Also found some pink string bags for $2.50. If you look closely you will see my new identity as I hope to open an etsy shop with some ideas I have mulling around in my head but who knows when I will get the chance to let that one out of the bag...ahhh well such is life!!! Have a great weekend one and all. I shall be having fun at my girls night out!!

got the jamas on the little chicken first thing this morning. What do you think?? Not perfect but not too bad.

Have got the sewing bug now so this morning I made 2 pillow case dresses.
this one is stripey. I added a bit of a white frill thingy on top and a bit of green trim on the bottom.

I shaped this one a bit and it had some cute little flowers embroidered on the bottom. I think next time I will make it a bit higher in the neck..

and it was with the sewing machine....now overt your eyes all you pro sewers out there because it is by no means a masterpiece of sewing but it is my first bash at making a patern and sewing something with out any help. It is my masterpiece. A pair of jamas for chicken....I even put on some pretty lace...now bear in mind she is sound asleep so the modelling part of this creation has yet to be done but...DA DAHHHH!!!!

I bought these gumboots for chicken ages ago in Hervey Bay and loved the funky girly pattern. Alas a couple of months ago we misplaced one and I have finally given up the hope of finding it again....so what to do with this gorgeous boot??? Make it a pot of course!!

Put some lovely succulents in it and walah!!!! I love the way it just adds a little more permanent colour to the garden. What do you think?

1. I have been known to cry pretty much when there are any deaths in tv shows & movies...think all my tears over my dad's death empty when I see someone else go thru the same thing!!

2. I have very fair skin and burn in 10 mins....once also burnt my ears so bad they blistered and then peeled!

Have had the cousins up to play with this last week and the have dug out the old mower of Dad Darko's!! Bubba has taken a shine to it and I thought you would like to see the way he drives it...

have finally plucked up the courage to get out the new sewing machine and make another pair of booties for baby rocco. Saved so much time but I still am not confident on the sewing machine...practise makes perfect. Tried to make them look a bit like skate shoes with a bit of tread on the souls...not totally happy with them needs a bit of tweaking but not to bad for a first effort. Here's the results...also made a binky/toy holder.

Just was looking back through some of my photo logs and came across the cakes we made for bubba's 1st and 2nd birthdays
1st was a rocket, even with blasting jets(sparkler) I think we got the idea from a womans day cake book??

2nd birthday was a crocodile in water. I must add that I design the creations and hubby masterfully creates!!! Gotta love that man. Water was made from jelly crushed.

yep took some american friends to the world famous aussie zoo last weekend. Was an adventure which included alot of vomit!!! but lets not go there... never the less we had a great time. We fed the elephants 'cept our ellie didnt like the apples and went on strike...dont you love the cranky pose!!

Big thanks for all those who helped with the sourcing the set equipment and a extra big thanks to hubby for the construction work. Have heaps of room out the back now for the props.

bubba turns 4 very soon so we have purchased a nice bike for him.

Had a test run yesterday without the training wheels didnt go down well!!!

I know we dont get winter in the true sense of the word up here but it gets cold enough for me...last sunday we caught up with the cousin & fam. Met at a little seaside town near us called Brunswick. Was one of those cold dreary days never the less...

well in the little time i have I managed to get the bug to create this simple little hat. grey one was made for xman but bubba has taken a shine to it so shall just have to make another. green one has gone to alyce, pink one is chikens but cant get her to keep it on long enough to take a pick of her in it- me thinks it was futile effort. This is the next one in production...for me!!!

bubba was able to participate in the happy holidy hour this year as one of the boys(although probably not mature enough) and did all the crafts that the 5-6 year old boys did. the pictures are to follow...think he did quite well despite his almost 4 age!!!

while we were in the middle of the happy holiday hour week, Bubba decided to cause a ruckus!! He was going to his bed to ut his PJ's under his pillow when he tripped and cut his eyebrow open!! Lots of blood. bandaged head and a little glue and he was good!!

Almost had to buy shares in masking tape recently cause every night we have had to tape chickens nappy to her! Why, I hear you say in shock disbelief, cause she keeps on taking hers off and wets the bed the pillows everything!!! We have been doing it for about 6 months no kidding and have had no success with the front button up all in one suits as she takes everything off!! Just call her Houdini!!! That is until I came across this genius creation from bonds that is called the EASYSUIT suit.
Not only do we not have to worry about her taking her clothes off at night anymore but she hasn't even touched her nappy!!! Please send me some sympathy love if you have had some similar probs....Long live BONDS!!!!

Over the last few months we have purchased our new dining table with ultra comfy curvy backed chairs.
Has leather seats but the backs are wooden.Very kid friendly but stylish at the same time!!! So nice to be able to eat in style.
This delightful little reclining chair was on sale so had to snavel it too.It is now called mums relaxing reading chair. Have already got a place drawn up for it in my head for the future house we will someday soon be building!!!

Thus I am like a pig in mud!!!

Yes the main reason for the lack of posts has been cause I have a lot of work to do for our church run happy holiday hour in the first week of the school holidays. we get roughly 140 kids a day!!! LOTS of work!!! Was involved in the leading the songs and actions, was a lead in the skit that goes on everyday, and did all the bags designs for the first days crafts and a few other crafts too!!! Anywho... have got some picks of the older girls bag designs...
First one is the 9-10yr old girls was a cupcake theme. They had a ball with these and all turned out really well.

The next bag was for the 11-12 yr old girls. Was my version of a cherry blossom tree design!!

Nature armbands

Was surfing the other day and came across the idea of putting tape wrongside up around the kids arms and go for a nature walk with them and stick your finds (whether they be flowers or leaves) on the band. loved the idea. Sorry I can't remember where i saw it please let me know if it was your blog so that I can give you credit. Anywho genius idea..kids loved it

Must say though that chicken didn't get very involved so would recommend it for 3 and up but chicken did enjoy the walk and picking up sticks so it was all good.

Kids have had these bikes put away cause chicken couldn't ride properly and battery problems. Decided to get them down the other day!!

Can't get them off them and they live in the kitchen under my feet going around and around!!! At least they enjoy them! Chicken has mastered the steering in a day!! very impressive

Had to do church flowers the other day and was really scratching for flowers. Found these flowers/seed thingys that look pretty but had to be wired to the bluey to stay up. anywho what do you think??

I love the colours but is mainly leaves from cordylines!!! Even managed to fit in a bit of foxtail flaxstuff!!

Chicken has the most fly away hair on the planet I swear! And to make matters worse it never looks done even if I have done it. Not that she is very keen on getting her hair done anyway.but my persistance prevailed albeit for one day. She actually let me braid it the other day!! and left it in all day...maybe there is hope yet. Tell me someone else has this problem???

As a gift for hubby's 30th my big sis shouted us out for the night at a flashy motel last night after her party. So this morning I woke up when i wanted to for the first time in a long time. What more could a mother want...but wait there was more hubby took me to IKEA. haven't been for so long!!! spent 2 hours checking every last thing out. Bought the kids some shelves, a mirror, kid's car mat, some funky containers, and a few other bits and bobs.

Then when we got home the kids had a gift for me of this..

I heart Gilmore Girls!!! I am just like a pig in mud.

So the afternoon was spent putting in the new shelves then rearranging the kids room.

Then just before bed the kiddilinks were having a ride on dad's legs

So loving today...hope you all have had a great mothers day too.

Man I have been wanting to tell you about this for soooo long but it was a surprise and my sis reads my posts. Have had a busy few weeks planning and scheming and designing my big sisters 40th party. Was last night. Was heaps of fun and I think all the effort was worth it. Jack loves the pirates of the carribean so I thought she would enjoy a fancy dress party. We had the party at a restaurant that had a ship in it...
